A coffee table book to be launched this autumn, featuring over 20 local creative artists.
The Ropery Sculpture
My selected proposal Is to make a maquette based on imagery from The Ropery in the Historic Dockyard in Chatham.
From having this featured in the book I will be seeking interest from various parties to be able to make a full size sculpture of the design. 4 - 6 M. I have already received interest in this project from Medway Council. As my proposed location is in the grounds of their new premises on Dock Road, on the riverside which is next to the Ropery building.
Mike Mc Carthy and I had a site visit on Thursday 6th, and he did a photography shoot.
